There is something especially romantic about a wedding day that honors heritage and celebrates the life you’re building together. Shannon and Miten’s fall wedding at Crossed Keys Estate did exactly that, with a morning baraat and Hindu ceremony honoring Miten’s Indian heritage followed by an American ceremony and reception, all on one October day.
The entire day felt like a celebration of culture, color, and connection. Surrounded by their favorite people, they blended traditions seamlessly. For the morning baraat and Hindu ceremony, Miten wore a traditional embroidered Kora sherwani that complemented Shannon’s heavily beaded Kalki olive green velvet lehenga. Shannon changed into a gorgeous Galia Lahav ballgown with black bow details at the shoulders, and Miten swaped into a custom-fitted black suit for their second look and ceremony.
Their menu focused on Indian fusion, blending the couple’s favorite flavors with cultural hors d’oeuvres and entrees. Representing their love for fall, the florals shifted from soft autumnal tones of blush and cappuccino roses with dried textures to moodier after-dark arrangements featuring black anthurium and anemone blooms, transitioning the atmosphere from golden to moody as the sun set. A rosé champagne tower, disco ball details at the sweetheart table, and custom “’til death” jean jacket details reflected their style, story, and traditions.
We’re sharing a peek at their romantic fall celebration for multicultural wedding inspiration at Crossed Keys Estate, beautifully captured by Jordan Jankun Photography.
