Resting in Perfection | Gina & Scott’s Late October Wedding

October 30, 2024

We live for creating weddings that bring bold, unique visions to life, and Gina & Scott’s late October celebration had us absolutely unwell—in the best possible way. From moody florals to dark, elegant vibes, this wedding was a modern gothic masterclass, transforming classic romance into a night we wish we could relive.

From the beginning, Gina and Scott’s wedding vision was anything but basic. Gina wanted something distinct from the typical New Jersey ballroom experience, and our estate, with its floor-to-ceiling windows, garden views, and modern, versatile spaces, provided the ideal canvas for her dream. The couple even flipped the script on a standard setup with a reverse ceremony layout, facing the estate’s scenic fence instead of the traditional garden view.

Moody Modern Gothic Glam

Our team crafted a blend of moody tones with natural elegance, using estate-grown and dried hydrangeas, anthuriums, amaranthus, and rich textures to add a serious dose of drama. Gina’s ceremony aisle was a lush blend of florals, grasses, and smoky foliage—painting a picture of non-traditional romance with mauve-toned hydrangeas and painted baby’s breath.

The altar, framed by a two-piece modern asymmetrical arbor, mirrored wild, organic growth. Amaranthus, cotinus, hydrangeas, gypsophila, and pittosporum created an arrangement that seemed to rise from the earth, blurring the line between nature and design.

Details You’d Die For (We Almost Did)

Gina was all about nailing the little details, and we were here for it. Custom matchboxes, menus, and napkins? Check. Roman busts, fruit-studded centerpieces, and an All Too Well quote on the welcome sign? Double-check. In true Swiftie fashion, Gina’s seating chart featured lyrics from Lover—a perfect personal touch.

A Dark and Dreamy Masterpiece

The color scheme blended dark, moody elements with vibrant, airy accents, crafting a layered atmosphere that felt both luxurious and edgy. Centerpieces included bud vases, textured bowls with grapes and figs, taupe taper candles, and floral runners that repurposed aisle decor on lace runners. The head table details highlighted a floral runner of bud vases, gold fruit bowls, and candles, casting a beautiful glow as night fell.

Gina’s review says it all: “There are not enough words to describe our unforgettable experience at Crossed Keys Estate. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars! Crossed Keys Estate made my Pinterest dreams come true.” We were right there, fighting back tears—and we’d do it all over again.
