A beautiful early September morning set the vibe for this Crossed Keys Estate late summer wedding. With their love for each other at the forefront of the day, Alicia and Phil put their personal touch into the details of this super fun celebration.
Getting Ready
The day began with the Bride and her party getting ready in the Playhouse and the groom and his gang hanging out in the Pequest Parlor. After a toast with their respective company, they met for a First Look by the Stone Cottage. The couple was joined for portraits by the wedding party before it was time to say, “I do!” In the garden, an arbor made of tinted mauve baby’s breath waited for the couple to exchange vows. This statement piece matched the bridesmaids’ bouquets, while the Bride’s bouquet held soft garden colors, including sage and peach.
Cocktail Hour + Reception
As guests headed into the cocktail hour, delicious hor d’oeurves were passed around. Options included petit crab cakes with lemon caper sauce, smoked duck quesadillas, and mini grilled cheese with a tomato soup shooter. Cocktail hour stations included a pizza station, pasta station, ceviche station, and a favorite here at CKE, the street taco station. In a labor of love, Alicia and Phil designed their seating wall that featured a customized Budweiser beer bottle for each guest, featuring their name and table number. The couple was able to greet guests and give warm hellos before the party moved into the farmhouse reception.
Crossed Keys Designs adorned the reception tables in varying centerpieces made of florals of soft garden colors. Matching florals perfectly highlighted the base of the sweetheart table. Making a grand entrance, Alicia and Phil entered the party! They immediately hit the dance floor, inviting friends and family to join them after their first dance. Toasts were made and sweet dances were shared before the band kicked the party up a notch. Late-night festivities continued out on the patio with drinks around the firepit. To add to the reception experience, a pizza station was set up. Customized stickers from the couple topped to-go pizza boxes for guests to enjoy!
It was a pleasure having Alicia + Phil celebrate their special day with us here at New Jersey wedding venue, Crossed Keys Estate. Between the elegance of the wedding venue and the absolute joy of the couple and their guests, this late summer wedding celebration defines what we aim to deliver.
